Erosion Certification Courses

EI 1001 Erosion/Sediment Control Inspector/Installer
$155 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Includes Written Exam
$130 Earlybird registration
- register by 1 week in advance

This one-day course is designed for those who install or inspect the installation of erosion/sediment control devices and the establishment of vegetation. The emphasis is on permit regulations pertaining to laborer activities and proper installation and quality control of various erosion/sediment control devices and turf establishment items. Other topics include an overview of pertinent specifications, and standard detail drawings. This course is taught entirely in the classroom. (6 PDH)

Who should attend:
Agency: Mn/DOT and local highway personnel inspecting seeding, mulching, silt fence placement, topsoil placement, erosion control blanket installation, riprap placement, silt curtain, inlet protection, culvert installations in water bodies and embankment construction near rivers, lakes, and streams.

Contractor: Crew supervisor of turf establishment/seeding contractor, grading contractor and bridge contractor personnel installing temporary erosion/sediment control devices.
